Server Installation Instructions

|
- Request the product from the Download page of the Meetinghouse online Store.
- Note that you will receive an email from Meetinghouse with the following:
a. a link to the product tar file b. a 'Temporary Evaluation License' key which will allow the client to run for 30 days.
- Download the .rpm file and place it in a known directory.
- On your LINUX system, log in as the superuser. You must have root privileges to install RPM packages on the system.
- Install the Server rpm using the command, e.g.: rpm -ivv AEGISServer-Linux-1_1_5_i386.rpm
- Start the server with the following command: /usr/local/aegis/bin/aegiss
- Start the product console with the following command: /usr/local/aegis/bin/aegisc
- Select 'License' on the AEGIS GUI console.
- Enter the 'Temporary Evaluation License' key sent to you via email in Step 2(b) into the 'Key' field in the AEGIS GUI console.
- Enter "trial" into the 'Subject' field in the AEGIS GUI console.
- Click 'OK' and the product will be licensed.
Note:
- The product is statically linked with routines from OpenSSL, and does not require OpenSSL to be on your system. However if you wish to use OpenSSL for certificate management, you should install an OpenSSL package with a version of at least 0.9.6. This product has 30 days evaluation period. If you'd like to register this product prior to its expiration you may purchase it on our Web Store.

AEGIS Server for Solaris |

- Request the product from the Download page of the Meetinghouse online Store.
- Note that you will receive an email from Meetinghouse with the following:
a. a link to the product tar file
b. a 'Temporary Evaluation License' key which will allow the client to run for 30 days.
- Download the .gz file and place it in a known directory.
- Type: gunzip aegiss-1.1.5-sol8-sparc-local.gz pkgadd -d ./AEGISServer-Solaris-1_1_5-sparc-local.gz
- Before running the AEGIS server, you must install Solaris patch 112438-01. This adds support for /dev/random and /dev/urandom - random number devices. The patch may be obtained via the following link: http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/

- On your Solaris system, log in as the superuser.
- Start the server with the following command: /usr/local/aegis/bin/aegiss
- Start the product console with the following command: /usr/local/aegis/bin/aegisc
- Select 'Register' on the AEGIS GUI console.
- Enter the 'Temporary Evaluation License' key sent to you via email in Step 2(b) into the 'License Key' field in the AEGIS GUI console.
- Enter "trial" into the 'Subject' field in the AEGIS GUI console.
- Click 'OK' and the product will be licensed.

- Request the product from the Download page of the Meetinghouse online Store.
- Note that you will receive an email from Meetinghouse with the following:
a. a link to the product msi file
b. a 'Temporary Evaluation License' key which will allow the client to run for 30 days.
- Download the msi file and place it in a known directory.
- Using Windows Explorer, double-click on the package file AEGISServer-2KXP-1_1_5.msi and follow instructions on the screen.
- The Aegis Server for Windows starts automatically after install.
- Start the product console from the "Start" "Programs" "Meetinghouse" "AEGIS Server" "AEGIS Console".
- Select 'Register' on the AEGIS GUI console.
- Enter the 'Temporary Evaluation License' key sent to you via email in Step 2(b) into the 'License Key' field in the AEGIS GUI console.
- Enter "trial" into the 'Subject' field in the AEGIS GUI console.
- Click 'OK' and the product will be licensed.
