Sharp Zaurus Linux-based Mobile Data Terminal Now Secured for Wireless Business Use with AEGIS Client from Meetinghouse

AEGIS Client for Zaurus SL-6000 provides 802.1X wireless LAN (WLAN) security for the mobile enterprise user

PORTSMOUTH, NH - June 8, 2004 - Meetinghouse, a leading developer of standards-based network authentication software for wired and wireless local-area networks, announced AEGIS Client for Sharp Zaurus. The Sharp Zaurus™ SL-6000, a new handheld mobile data terminal from Sharp Electronics Corporation is a feature-packed, Linux-based personal mobile tool for business use. AEGIS Client for Zaurus is the result of a marketing relationship between Meetinghouse and Sharp, which will promote a Meetinghouse WLAN security solution to Sharp enterprise customers.

AEGIS Client for Zaurus provides:

• Support for a wide variety of Extensible Authentication Protocols (EAP) methods now in use in the enterprise, including: Cisco-LEAP, EAP-MD5, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, and EAP-PEAP.

• 802.1X and Dynamic WEP support that defeats the presence of rogue and other unauthorized access points.
