Meetinghouse Provides Wireless LAN Security Technology for Broadcom Wi-Fi Solutions

AEGIS Authentication API Enables Standards-based, Layer-2 WLAN Protection

Portsmouth, NH - March 15, 2005 - Meetinghouse, a leading developer of standards-based network authentication software for wired and wireless local-area networks, announces that Broadcom Corporation has licensed the Meetinghouse AEGIS Authentication API (Application Programming Interface) for its industry-leading family of Wi-Fi® solutions. The AEGIS Authentication API protects wireless networks from unauthorized use by enforcing standards-based authentication prior to user access. By integrating AEGIS wireless LAN (WLAN) security technology into its wireless client software, Broadcom can provide PC OEMs with a turnkey solution for adding standards-based WLAN security to Windows XP and Windows 2000 systems.

The AEGIS Authentication API enables Broadcom to bring secure wireless LAN (WLAN) chipsets to market faster by providing the building blocks for today's wireless LAN security standards, including:

• IEEE 802.1X
• Industry leading Extensible Authentication Protocol Types (EAP)
• Wi-Fi Protected Access™ (WPA™)
• WPA2
