Our History

Founded in 1988, Meetinghouse began as a contract software engineering company specializing in large embedded protocol and internetworking projects for leading communications companies--Sprint, Nortel, and Hewlett Packard. From 1988 through 2001, Meetinghouse established a reputation as a highly reliable business partner and a cost effective software developer in the areas of advanced protocol development including VLAN attributes, QoS, DHCP, and network authentication. In 2001, Meetinghouse's principle focus turned to developing standards-based IEEE network authentication and encryption technologies with the introduction of the AEGIS product family. Our history of pioneering advanced protocols and commitment to leverage open standards coupled with advances in the silicon industry to reduce the cost of encryption technologies rapidly catapulted Meetinghouse to become the world's leading supplier of 802.1X and EAP authentication technologies for semiconductor, PC OEM, and network equipment vendors.

Throughout our history we have been committed to exceeding the expectations of our customers and accelerating time-to-market strategies of networking vendors. Since introducing the AEGIS product family in 2001, Meetinghouse authentication products ship with over 200 million endpoint devices from semiconductors, PC OEMs, network equipment manufactures, and network services providers. Our reputation for engineering services excellence has created an eco-system of network security technology partners that delivers unparalleled value to enterprise IT organizations.

Based on a profitable, self-funded model since inception, Meetinghouse's dedication to the evolution and implementation of an open network security platform continues to drive active participation on standards organizations including the IETF, IEEE, Wi-Fi Alliance, and the Trusted Computer Group (TCG). From this position in the marketplace, we are poised to offer the most comprehensive standards-based endpoint security framework rooted in reducing IT operational costs while securing network access for the mobile workforce.
